Project Development - Playtest

Please use this link to see the Playtest Plan Deck

The Playtest went pretty well more than 10 people did the playtest and they gave me very useful feedback.

I was quite nervous when I asked the first person to listen to the audio story, as it is my own personal story, it was a bit intimidating to see how they would react. After a couple of playtests I got used to the process.

Here are some of the feedback that I received:

feedback1

"so I'm relatively familiar with your story

I think the delivery could flow better

sometimes you stumble and sometimes I get distracted by the editing

idk if it's because I have a production background

I think the content is good but I think the story itself could be paced better

are you interested in adding any sound effects and transitions and music to help this?

I also felt it was a bit long

and why audio instead of video?"

-How do you feel after reading the short description of the project (before you listen to the track) I agree with the description that we’re still living in a world where the sexual minority are mistreated. It’s hard to admit, but I think I’m likely complicit even though I support LGBTQ+ rights. But certainly, there’s still so much we need do to create a more LGBTQ+ friendly world and I was hoping there’s more resources on educating people how to be a good LGBTQ ally. -How do you feel after you listen to the track? I really like the storytelling. It pulls at my heartstrings. It almost feels like you’re here in the room with me, telling me what you’ve been through. Even though I didn’t have the same experience, the story still felt very relatable. It reminded of my schoolyears when I was trying to figure out who I am. Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing with me your feelings. -Did you pause/skip at any point? If yes, could you tell me why No I didn't

-Is the narration easy to follow? Yes, pretty straightforward. -Did the story provoke any emotions? I feel sad :( I want to give you a hug.

-How do you feel after reading the short description of the project (before you listen to the track)

Thought it was an interesting concept. Raising awareness about this issue is good. Sometimes (and I mean sometimes), people don’t know that their words and actions can hurt someone.

So if they listen to this, they should somehow know to be careful of what to say and do to other humans that’s different than what ‘society’ thinks someone should be like.

-How do you feel after you listen to the track?

I feel sad and emotional. I did not know that you went through all this as a kid.

School should be a safe place for kids, but then again, kids are cruel sometimes.

-Did you pause/skip at any point? If yes, could you tell me why

No, I didn’t

-Is the narration easy to follow?

Yes, it’s easy to follow and it’s interesting. It’s like listening to an audio book.

-Did the story provoke any emotions?

Yes, sad and angry, at the people who judged you.

-Any other comments would be very helpful

I like how the story is narrated. Easy to listen to and straight to the point. The emotions i got from the audio was strong.

I can feel your pain through your words.
